About Phillipa

Phillipa Gimmillaro applies over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry to her role as Chief People Officer, overseeing people, culture, health, and safety for Hind Management, employing over 650 employees across nine sites within the portfolio of hotels, restaurants, bars and spas.
Phillipa was awarded New Zealand HR Director of the Year in 2023, highlighting her leadership in diversity, equity and inclusion for the group and recently attained Professional Accreditation for Workplace Inclusion from Diversity Works Aotearoa. 

Phillipa's focus extends to developing a sustainable culture of community, well-being and inclusion and is passionate about the future of work and technology.  A chartered member of Human Resources Institute of New Zealand (HRNZ) and an active industry advisory board member, Phillipa is currently working toward an MBA and loves spending time with family and friends, hiking or relaxing at the beach with a good book.
