You Don’t Need to Worry About Carbon Emissions when you Meet in the Metaverse
We know the way we connect and learn in person compared to virtually is quite different. How do we mirror an in person experience in a virtual world, or how do we add another dimension to a learners experience when connecting virtually? I’ll share how we used the metaverse to engage and educate communities across Asia Pacific on Sustainability.
- Introduce the challenge (community, varied levels)
- What’s important to you when participating virtually
- Design of the interactions in the metaverse
- Demo - what it looks like
- Lessons learned - what you need to know
- Looking forward
3 Key Learnings
- Use different spaces, for different types of interactions and be intentional
- Create deadlines for action, live sessions as well as on demand, and scavenger hunt competitions
- Iterations and feedback loops are key. Don’t let the good be the enemy of perfect
